When will it be enough. When it is half past noon and your words stumble in, intoxicated by bad decisions, and you reek of regret?
When you realize the void in your heart as you prostrate, can not be filled with negligence of Allah and your obligations to Him?
When you realize that every fleeting thought from yesterdays and yester nights stops to happen in your mind, the moment you say ‘Takbir’?
Will it be when your low Iman can’t get you out of bed because getting out of bed makes you realize you’re still alive when you gave Allah 93 reasons to take your soul last night?
When will it be enough for you to realize that for every reason you want to give up and wave a white flag, the world is giving you a trillion billion reasons more to just try.
When will it be enough for you that the only reason you ever need to keep going, was that you were made for these times. You were made for these hardships. You were made for these difficulties that you think destroy you. You were made for these difficulties that shoot bullets into your skull and heart and all your organs and cause internal bleeding. Because, maybe you were supposed to hurt from the inside to feel on the outside and maybe you’re still here because you were made for these exact times you think destroy you.
You were made for these times. You will get past the hardships. Try. Try and keep trying and keep trying until it is half past noon and your words stumble in, but quickly catch themselves. Until you give up the bad habit of making bad decisions, and until you smell fresh of repentance.
Try until the void in your heart is filled up with remembrance of Allah so much so, that it overflows through your tears.
Try until the thoughts of yesterdays and yesternights feel strange coming to a mind that has not invited them and try until each ‘takbeer’ is said with precision and accuracy so sincere, what is to come can only be just as sincere and just as accurate.
Try until you wake up with the level of Iman that not only excites you to get out of bed, but gives you 93 reasons to enjoy the lifetimes in your days.
Try until you make the world want to surrender and wave its white flag. Try until you give the world a trillion billion reasons to give up before you do.
Try until you believe that you were made for these times. Damn right you were
